So, Im looking to get a PS2 (not a ps two, the slim one). I looked on ebay some and around at some stores, but it's quite expensive still. So if any of you have an old PS 2 that you don't play much anymore, I would be interested in getting it.

I don't need any games for it, my friend has a bunch of those I can buy, I just need the console.

    look for a ps2 on ebay or sumat, grab your ps2 and 5 games and go down to eb games and turn it in for a shiny new pswhatevertheheckthesmalloneiscalled

    I think best thing to do is just buy a new one unless you get lucky on eBaay. Most local stores that sell them used only sell them for like $20 cheaper than a brand new one...

    edit: Do the games have to be in immediate working condition?

    My FFX works...but you can't get past the end, it freezes because I dropped the PS2 with it inside.

    I wouldnt recommend getting anything as complicated as a PS2 of ebay... I bought two separate cell phones, one had hidden water damage so it got no signal from the reciever chip ANYWHERE, and one completely died within a week.

    Worst part is it is totally legal for them to screw you over like that

    I highly recommend buying a new one. No offense to the people on this forum, but I wouldn't buy a used PS2 if my life depended on it... they're way too unreliable.

    I'd definately recommend a new one over second hand. My PS2 which is only a year old fails to read discs and screws up a lot of the time.
