Resource patch will make this a whole new game.

The biggest problems people have with the game are related to the marines dominating.
Among these problems are:
1) Turrets everywhere
2) Marines always have heavy armor/jetpack and HMG/Grenade Launcher
3) Marines in general have the ability to expand too fast.
With the resources patch, you will find much more of the game dominated by competition between skulks and marines outfitted with regular machine guns, pistols, and shotguns. Unless someone is exceptionally skilled with the shotgun or pistol, your average skulk is worth 2 marines with that equipment.
You will also probably see much fewer turrets. Lurks, who don't need any extra hives to evolve to, can take turrets out from outside their firing range. If there are only 2 turrets at a base instead of 20, aliens have a good chance of clearing the turrets around a base and getting to the soft chewy center that is the marines within.
Instead of marines being able to to get all their high tech weapons 2 minutes after a match starts, they will have to wait much longer to develop that tech as they spend most of their resources setting up, protecting, and maintaining the resources they do have before they are concerned with upgrading. This means by the time marines have the ability to make the high powered weapons and armor, aliens will have had time to get more hives. This means that you will have fewer marines with the powerful weapons and armor, as well as having aliens that can compete with the decked out marines by the time they get to that point.
Finally, any damage you do to a marine base as an alien cannot be instantly repaired, replaced like it can now.
Whith the patch, the aliens won't have access to the higher level units like Fades and Onos nearly as much as they do now, but they will also be facing a weaker marine team.
There are still issues I'd like to see addressed, but fixing the rampant resource bug will cause this to play nearly like a different game. People will rethink strategies. We wont see marines dominate 90% of the time, and finally, I think we'll get our first taste of that highly touted balance all the devs here have been talking to us about.
