what does it do. like what does it show. is it like a spedometer or something like that. and why would you wnat to know you speed?

It shows two speeds. The first IIRC is your 'air speed' - how fast you are moving through the air when you jump. The second is your ground speed - how fast you are moving when you touch terra firma.

Both, by the way, are in pixels, if you were curious. Not that that would help you out or anything.
