But he's boring.. so i got a camera..
And started taking pics of the mini-protest outside. They got a good chant or two going, but it mostly sucked. here is a pretty graphic picture from the right. Here is my favorite pic:

Pretty much sums it up
P.S. I really really hate those idiots with the anti-abortion pictures.. do we cram pictures of beheadings and torture down your throat to support the war? If i ever see someone doing that, I will hit them.

No, it's Michael Moore speaking at PSU. The funds to get him here, about 30k, is coming from student tuition money. The other week they had some republican that cost 10k, and Howard Dean spoke, too.
So people don't like that it's coming out of student money for such a partisan person, so they decided to get all icky.
Dinner never looked so good.
He decided to lower his fee to $4000.
That didn't satisfy the conservative here, so they paid $10,000 for Ann Coulter to come and speak.
Complain about using students' money to pay $4000 for partisan speech only to pay $10,000 for an even worse hack (seriously, Ann Coulter, you respond to Michael Moore with Ann Coulter? Why not someone with more credibility?).
Exactly. me and a friend were there just to observe the absurdity.
We almost started heckling the crowd and interviewing people and stuff.. But we decided not to.
my thoughts exactly.
i got this call a few hours ago and it was a recording advertising a movie called "celsius 411" or somthin like that....
the recording said something like:
"come see this movie if you too feel michael moores farenheit 911 was total bs...."
cept not like that.. more formal etc.... basically an anti moore film....
i just chatted with the recording for a bit but it was really rude... wouldnt let me get a word in....

.... that thing is retarded ....
maybe if it was humanly possible to keep up with the captions i would agree with them but i can read a max of like 10 words before the novels leave the screen
You could define me as a "classical liberal". Modern liberalism is just a abomination of the term.
You win the signature award.
They really need to make a movie called Micheal Moore Hates America.
Put a damn disclaimer on it or something.....
Ugh I feel ill.....
Screwed if you do, screwed if you don't.

Are you talking about the Abortion Truck Mural? I see a disclaimer.

yep
But I wonder if one side will take things too far and try to eliminate the other side?
Shock value. Which is catering to emotions, not the issues. Like fear-mongering, really.
Just for the record, I think abortions shouldn't be outlawed. If what conservatives say is true, and God looks down on women killing their unborn child because they know they can't handle a baby, or if they're a victim of some sexual crime.....that's the woman's choice, and it will rest on her conscience knowing that she killed her child. The state shouldn't be my conscience.
Also for the record, I would never ask a woman I got pregnant to have an abortion. I DO think it's morally wrong, and as a person who believes himself to have morals (not to mention I'm Catholic) I wouldn't want to be a part of that. But for the government to outlaw it for people who can rationalize their decision to themselves is wrong. Hell, Bush can still go on being against abortion as part of his personality and his character, but no President should impose his set of values on the entire populace. Same thing goes with **** marriage.
Blasphemer!
