<div class="IPBDescription">Ask anything mapping related</div> Allright, I feel there needs to be a thread where quick mapping questions can be asked without having to create a new thread.
I'll go first to start the thread of, if I use various models to enhance my map that share the same textures, can I save texture memory/disk space by using external textures (*T.mdl files) to store textures in a separate model from the geometry and somehow reusing these for all the models that share the same textures?

And on co_ maps it doesn't matter since it's only one hive anyway.

theoretically it should work, but you better ask that a experienced modeller <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
The only problem I see is, that the *T.mdl files never get detected by *.res file generators and that can lead to trouble.

If you don't have the second one on your screen enable it by "View" -> "Screen Elements" -> "Object Bar"
