<div class="IPBDescription">3200x1200!</div> I posted this on another forum, but I figure I should post it here. Figured mapping wouldn't want it, since it's more random than anything actually related to a map and I'd hate to take the focus away from that. Anywho...

Full resolution (3200x1200): <a href='http://www.kungfusquirrel.net/miscpics/bighammer.jpg' target='_blank'>http://www.kungfusquirrel.net/miscpics/bighammer.jpg</a>
X - 1600x1200 screen space almost entirely dedicted to the grid
X - Larger camera view space
X - Easy access to textures (if it worked, heh - texture browser steals focus from the entire program <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> )
X - second smaller grid area at higher zoom for depth adjustment (like the Z- window in Radiant, though that doesn't get used much) and to fill space to keep camera aspect normal.
Whee. Unfortunately, it didn't want to save my settings on close <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Kinda annoying in games, though. Causes problems with 800x600 resolution (ATI, at least) which many cinematics are at and many games default to, heh. I've started just disabling it for most games. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
One monitor for irc/msn windows/stats/winamp/anything else and the other for the main programs like browsers/photoshop etc.
It's even more handy when coding html for web pages.
Nice layout as well.. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
personaly I have never used dual moniters, however multiple desktops is truly fun, thus having multiple desktops visable at once = the win!
personaly I use it when coding. having multiple files open, having the asignment open, and having anytihn else I need for it open at once (and quickly switchable to) is great
Radiant can do that too, you know that <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I know, that's why I tried it. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> My radiant setup is a full screen grid, about a half screen texture selection, quarter screen 3d view, and the remaining quarter with the entity settings and then the console/media/group tabs. Much love. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I wonder if Radiant will be made to support hl2 mapping... hmm...
Agreed.
As mentioned by me all the time:
Milkshape 3d>3D Studio Max
Doom: Since the GTK team took on the task of adding HL support, I wouldn't be surprised if they did everything they could to get HL2 support going as well. It might actually be easier to manage, since you won't have to deal with stupid .wad files and it'll just be using .tgas (or whatever format they use) with text based material files, much like Quake 3 and Doom3 - at least, I'm pretty sure that's how they have it set up.
Agreed.

This creates a paradox or something to that effect.
VHE < Hammer.
Radiant for HL does not have patch meshes, or I could have made some 1337 letters too <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
And sauseges, yes?
That resolution would blind me. Wow.
