how does that happen?

are the kids lying down in behind his car? or is he actually waiting for them to pass?

I just don't see how this can happen.

*shrug*

Who cares? I've heard so many of these stories lately that that's all I can say anymore. We can't do anything about it, so why bother.

Don't get dragged down by this. Yes, it's horrible, but how often do you hear of such stuff? Let's say, once a week if you watch national television regularily. Now consider this: Because they are both horrible and rare, almost every such case makes it into the headlines. So, you've got 52 such cases a year - in 293,000,000 Americans. Yup, there are jerks. There always will be, and some of them will always go ballistic. But does that tiny minority say anything about the rest?

"You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty." -- Ghandi.

Who's to say he's not running over kids on an exponetial scale and an 8 year old is next instead?

Remember to teach your kids never to cross the street or to walk in front/behind of a running vehicle...I mean, I knew that when I was unfathomably young...of course, I also knew you want to check your mirrors and make sure nothing is behind you before backing your car out of your driveway too.

Did you even read the article? The kid was standing around in the driveway and the guy backed into (key word there) the kid. The child was in no way running around causing a nuisance of himself or running in front of cars.

To be honest, someone should always be watching a 2 year old who is in the garden/driveway, especially if someone is in a car.
• Cereal_KillRCereal_KillR Join Date: 2002-10-31 Member: 1837Members
There's a slight difference between accidentally running over a kid and doing it twice (accidentally) on two brothers, at the same place, with the same car.
