<div class="IPBDescription">Crashing.</div> OK im getting kinda annoyed with this since ive had it for a long time and asked for help many times both here and other places but nobody has helped.

So basically my NS crashes quite usually. And it crashes in different ways.

-Sometimes NS just freezes and doesnt work so when i press Ctrl-alt-del it says Not Responding and the sound keeps on looping.

-Sometimes it crashes and after 10 secs my comp restarts for some reason.

-And then it has crashed so i havent been able to do anything and been forced to manually restart my comp.

Ive noticed that sometimes if im really playing and pushing down alot of buttons and then quickly try to press my console button it crashes. Then again sometimes it jsut crashes when i dont press console button.

So please help or atleast say something i could try. Ive tried changing my drivers for my 3d card. Which is a Ati Radeon 9600xt (256mb) so ive changed from catalyst to omega drivers. Which didnt help.

Also ive re-installed both NS and Steam loads of times. And updated Windows,Scanned for viruses and deleted Spy-ware.

Comp Specs:

-Abit An7 motherboard with built in Nvidia 6-channel soundcard
-AMD Athlon 3200xp (2,2 G.hz)
-Ati Radeon 9600xt with 256MB (Made by sapphire)
-512 Ram
-600 gb space
-Windows XP

Here's a couple more things you can try.

Update the drivers for your motherboard chipset.

Your computer could be overheating, so if you are overclocking, turn it down. If you're not, open up your case and see if there is a lot of dust, or if anything is blocking your fans, etc.

Your power supply could be too weak and you won't have enough power when you are taxing your computer too much.

When you changed video drivers, make sure you used Driver Cleaner. ATI cards are touchy when you upgrade drivers.

check for unneccesary programs, etc. disable as many programs as possible before playing.

consider doing a RAM check as well. bad RAM or bad sections of RAM can cause sudden reboots and freezes. there are free memory-testing programs available.

to me, the problem really sounds software-ish (considering the differences in reboots). I'd try to make sure there are no software conflicts, bad drivers (other than video), and etc.
