Examples of alien victories
I and couple of my friend have played few really good alien games in the past days (well, we play aliens nearly all the time we've been played) and I can say that we have r0x0red some 10 player servers totally (5vs5, we all in aliens team).
And believe me or not - we are all former (or still) CS players.
First we took like four gorges and started building while one took skulk and started to sabotage enemy base building by rushing and eating marines alive. Gorges tried to collect resources by that time and we tried to expand to the second hive asap. With second hive we could relax for a while and add more attackers. 2-3 gorges are enough to build defense and web the whole place.
The attackers kept marines out of the third hive and eventually we could just walk in and establish that hive. Then we upgraded to onos while one gorge set up some defensive chambers right outside of the marine base (for onos healing). Then we just walked over the marine team.
With the alien gameplay in control we must now train with marines but still not yet - if we all go to marines and everybody else in same server goes marines also then we get like 9:1 teams. We must first wait other people start playing aliens.
That was our story. #neutrium @ quakenet (clickable link, takes you straight to our channel), theres our main hive.

So who said aliens can't win?
