<div class="IPBDescription">Herumph</div> Is it just me or for the last 30mins ish have the boards almost ground to a hault. I keep getting messeges about max MySQL reached or something and when i can connect it takes about 40 seconds to load a page on a 1.5Mb/s connection. Everything else on the pc and net is going fine appart from the boards

Yep. joev confirmed it in the thread Dragon_Mech is referring to.
the main ns.org forums page loaded in less than a second. I click to view this thread and acording to the windows clock it took 46 seconds to load it. God Damn.
Is there a date set as to when the forum will be back up to speed, or at least a very rough guesstimate.
Joev can u give us some numbers as to the forums. Bandwidth, size , blah blah.

I would go into the GD forum but on the whole it scares me. Lots of nubbins running round screaming NS IS UNBALANCED and OMJ FLAMETHROWER. Or the one that i saw when i went in a week ago ish "Devs please fix your game".. I then left GD
Foiled again! Now we have to figure out a new way to hog bandwidth. Maybe by hosting images on the boards by uploading them and then using them in high traffic sites...

*Note: I am amazed because I forgot only specific people have Flayra visibility. So it is weird to get beaten by a split second, by someone I can't even see watching the thread no less.

Secondly, No. It's two things:
1. the "no deletion" policy is starting to catch up with us. We need ot prune the Off Topic and General forums pretty badly, but thus far JoeV hasn't seem to have done anythign about that.
2. we are going to be moving to a new server soon (or so I hear)
Plus what tiggered it was likely Flayra.
