Make me want to join NS competitive play.
I just wasted 25 minutes of my time commanding this team of LOW IQ MORONS who could not FOLLOW THEIR ORDERS during the second half of the game.
I commed our way to destroy their first hive because I detected it early, they didn't stand a chance. I move my marines to their second (original) hive, sieged that out, took even more work. Then...their third and final hive had just completed, I figured it was a piece of cake. This was at the 8 minute mark, by the way. I had a good economy, dropped HMGs and SGs and welders for everybody, sent them a waypoint...
And they were attracted to all over the map, they spread out, half of them felt compelled to solo double (5 ocs) on their own, this continued for about....14 minutes.
At the 25 minute mark, their second hive was building, I recalled all my marines, outfitted them with HMGs, welderes, SGs, sent them on their way....
3 of them die trying to knife a gorge, the rest wandered to double.
At that point, I cracked. I verbally abused my marine team in all talk for their stupidity and imcompetence, and then proceeded to exit the server.
Any other frustrating commanding experiences?

All the nodes ave archiving and the one immediatley outside - which the aliens dont have, cos I Siege it from Holo. My team (save someone from my clan and another) have already demonstrated that they are largely incompetent, but we did manage to take Data Core down and get most of the res nodes by virtue of the early game being a small one.
So, I beacon everybody back to base, give out JPs and heavy weappons/shotties, and say "move together. Kill archiving. BY this time the teams hav gone from 4v4 to 9v9. They all die. and again. and again. So, HA train. It gets in there, although somewhat depleted, and builds a phase. So, HA, and phase as you respawn then. Except 3 HA wander off to reception and duel with some OCs instead. Phase dies. Game proceeds (aliens in one hive, one node, rines with 8 nodes, ful tech, Cats) for about another half an hour. Res continues to climb (I built an elec TF wall at all the doors into base for the hell of it), up to somehwere over 2000. Eventually, another clan mate joins. I give the 3 of us JPs, Shotties and Welders. We take the hive down effectively on our own. Sigh.
Do you guys find this lack of intelligence thing happening more since 2.01?
only combat for pubs
Rapier7 seriously just join a clan it's 10x better, it's not like you can never pub again after you join a clan...

I also find that having only 2 phase gates and beconing alot keeps my troops okay. else I just jump outa the chair after giving myself a JP and try to take down the hives myself..
I like to think commanding on a pub is uber practice for medpacking specialy if you can pull out a win with retards.
Commander: "Here have a SG"
Retard: "Yhaaaaa!!! Can I go poop!"
add some servers you know are "ok" to favorites.
if you're not enjoying the game at some particular server because of whatever reason, just press esc, click on find servers and pick one.
And if you don't go to practice then you don't even get to play in matches. And if you are sucky in comparison to other clan members, you still might not get to play. Also when you lose a match it sucks more than if you are on a pub because everybody gets bummed out after practicing so hard. Same with cheating, sucks 10x more when a clan cheats you of a win. Unless you have hard evidence to submit to league administrators which is tough if you weren't paying attention. Only bright side is winning.
That's why I pub. It's less emotional, nothing to lose, and I only got at most an hour to play anyway.

Come to the NSARMSLAB server... i WILL show you how to comm rines...
Usually there arent noobs... but occasionally on that server... it gets.... ugly.....
I cant promise you will win.... but through Commandah Ahhnold, mass spamming of waypoints, and lots of IP's... you sure as hell will have fun....

To get a good game you have to join a passworded server, it sounds like too much effort for me, you probably have to talk to someone called 'monkeh' or 'sirNoobalot' on irc to get on...too much effort..
People say join a clan..but its so painful. I've tried it a few times now but jesus its awful, you start off at the bottom with 14 yr old cs kids telling you what to do, you find out about all the infighting, the pointless practices and everyone is called Timmeh or SUYF or o_0 ..too much effort..
So you end up joining pub servers and each time you do you say to yourself 'this time I will be calm, I'll be cool and calm no matter what happens' Its like some disgusting vice I have and I always end up comming a herd of retards..in fact I've found the only ONLY strategy that has any hope is a 2 hive lock..
I feel there is a momentum to the marines and once you get them all together and moving they build the stuff and move on, BUT once that momentum is broken they all scatter and inevitably die stupidly...
SO anyway here's the 2nd last game I commed...eclipse...
I just want to win, so hive is maint, and I get eclipse hive locked down with turrets and pg then quickly the WHOLE team moves and we take C.Core hive with turrets and a pg too, and all the RT's inbetween, I am pretty amazed, very fast and very smooth, no ups really cept for a1 because of the expensive hive lockdowns..
Now I settle down to say my usual 'watch hives till decent ups lads, just keep phasing/welding' and I would usually like 1/2 good shooters roam around, but I don't wait for ups or MT, shagit, I've got a decent team, aliens just have southloop and maint, so I save a bit and drop sg's for everyone and 'go kill' ...
I have never seen 7 marines die so quickly, EVER, okay so its bad luck, nope...they just keep dying like flies, the aliens descend on CC, I swear in 20 seconds its completely gone, there was only ONE fade vs 7 sg's, Eclipse is gone in another 40 seconds, and all of them started asking where the HA is....I abused them so much I so had to change my name...I just want to hurt the marines make them LEARN somehow, but most of these guys never will...
Right so that was the 2nd last game....this one is the latest game I played...
It's on a diff server, 8v8, same map, right I am going to be calm etc...they could not, would not get ONE SINGLE RT on eclipse, 3 guys building the rt 1 skulk kills them all, but I just refuse to get angry, I don't have any res for anything, I just get up get a drink from the fridge and come back, they haven't even noticed...I have about 80 res somehow, I just say screw it, beacon drop sg's and type in 'attack hive' ...
This absolute perfect singular blob moves down the minimap, bristling with sg's, walks STRAIGHT PAST triad rt without shooting it!!! (!!!!!!!!) goes into eclipse hive and blows it away in half a minute, killing fades and everything, I dropped about 2 medpacks with my mouth still open....this THING then moves off to CC and mows down the nearly completed hive...not one marine died...flawless....amazing...I cannot explain what goes on in these guys heads...
Well thats it...this sounds crazy, but pub commanders really should have some kinda self help group, especially after particularily mental games with the most moronic players, I just want to physically tell them about how stupid they were, I've actually caught myself talking out aloud to myself not understanding why they don't phase?? why don't they weld each other?? I have always done all that since day 1 aaaaahhhh
