I'm dowloading, sounds fun. BTW what reason could you possible have to not include a chainsaw? I mean Jesus, it's a requirement for any good game. HL had the crowbar of doom, NS and CS have their knives and ZP should have a chainsaw.
zombies are meant to be slow. if you take a hit as a zombie, lay low till you regen. if the survivor try's to kill you, try get a hit in. it's all about wearing the survivor's down. wear them down, bullet by bullet, hp by hp. inch by inch, you'll recruit more zombies. then bam! insta rush. arms fly everywhere, fun fun fun.
and zombo's are faster in vents than survivors. rush rush rsuh ftw.
My favorite tactic against a dug in survivor is to take a few shots and then run away and regen. Repeat until they yank out the inferior crowbar in desperation. Going in a mass (5+) works quite well too.
Hey, one of the maps I was looking forewards to playing was the "Objectivetest" map. You know, with the survivors running to get the gas can, bringing it back to the truck in order to win? Why wasn't that included with the release? Or was it, but renamed and I just haven't gotten to that map yet?

I'm sure it's possible to get it to work for ZP; at least the objective gamemode works better than in CS.

Maybe the difference is just too small to notice unless you already have a fair distance to all zombies.

I think this game needs more blunt objects to use against the enemy. For example the shotgun can have a 2ndary fire.where you can wack it back with the barrel of the shotgun.
It also needs detachable limbs so you can shoot off a zombie at the join and it crawls! that would be fricken awesome.
and the Assault Rifle needs to penetrate through zombies. since their flesh is mallable and and soft.

It was pretty fun. I loved the detpack on ClubZombo. I would put it in the flower box and wait for me to run outta ammo. Although survivors always seemed to want to come toward me right as I was about to blow up 5 zombies (Team damage was on). Also you can hide under the upstairs matress <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> .
The humans seem way underpowered in this. I was also expecting more town roads with about 10 houses instead of small 3 house maps. The inside ones were fun and reminded me of Day of the Dead and 28 Days Later.
The difference between zombie and human skins was pretty hard to tell from any distance beyond dead distance. Maybe some more blood or the head missing a chunk? And maybe the zombies could feign death to heal (and scare the crap out of survivors <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> ).
I suspect you were playing on the server that has everyone spawning right next to about 10 piles of sgs + det packs. Zombies have no chance on that server.

That map was just for me to see if objectives work. And they do, sort of. The problem is, the entity that handles ending the round is screwed up, so nothing I can do about that. And the only r_speed problems came from the wide-open nature of the map and the high poly-count of the player models.
This was a lot more fun with weaponstay on. Humans had a much better chance, and even won, if they spawncamped in zp_clubzombo ¬_¬ But it was really quite fun this time. 10 players max seems to be the way to go.
Another funny thing is that if you create an european server(not necessarily dedicated - I just made an ordinary listenserver), it will fill up to the max within a few minutes. Yet there are at least 5 empty servers in the US or wherever. :D
I'm glad most of you are enjoying it! It is pretty rough at the moment, but that's why it's a beta. We should have a patch fixing up a lot of the server crashes and exploits out in a few days. Also, the www.zombiepanic.org forums are back up again.
