So are you saying that a $700,000 bet on 12/1 odds was a bad thing? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

My flatmate bought this game the day it came out in the UK, and it's been a constant source of entertainment since. There's no need to even watch a movie when GTA San Andreas is on the screen...
For a start it's freakin HUGE (I'm sure this must have been mentioned at some point). It's also amazingly beautiful, especially in some particular countryside areas at night, with the sky lit up in hues of purple and deep blue.
The best thing though, is that you get to ride a bicycle! You can do wheelies and jump in it and everything, and because there's no radio or engine it's really peaceful to glide along with just the sound of the tyres on the ground. On that note, the sound has improved a great deal too imo. Everything has just improved...the game feels more realistic than it ever has before, and I've often had trouble comprehending the scale of the game just for the huge range of different areas, landscapes and styles.
The missions are a lot more involved and entertaining now too, sometimes switching to different control methods and often put in the place of someone other than 'the guy with the guns'. There's a fair few missions which involve driving after people while someone else shoots, and thanks to all the countryside these chases are full of interesting twists and turns.
Sorry if this has been said in as many words before, I didn't read a lot of the thread...I just thought I'd share my 2 cents. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Yup.. thought of doing that before, but it attacked my moral values too much. However, after getting in a bar fight with an old man and beating him down with someone elses cain, they are beginning to become foggy.

Did anyone else get their pilot's license by just hopping the fence and flying the Dodo? That's what a friend and I did yesterday, great game by the way, and we managed to fly to the other islands, but once you pass over them, you automaticly get four stars and jet's chase you. You can't even lower the stars with codes.

My verdict: 9.99/10 (or thereabouts)
Or you can save, bet, and depending on if you win or lose, just reload the game.

FIGHTER JET.
I would play this game, but only commies and baby killers own PS2s, so I wait for the Xbox release.
Actually I'm nagging my friend to get it. I'm getting halo 2 he gets this, lots of fun.
