Your Client Dll Differs From The Servers

I cannot join any server due to the above error, i have followed all the instructions in the install post and it doesnt work. Currently NS is in /prog files/steam/steamaps/myemail/half-life/ns

I am installing from ns_install_v3_b5.exe

is there a beta 6 now or something, all the servers i see say beta 5

Oh dno if this will have an effect, but one thing i did wrong was run that install before doing the hazard course. But then i did the hazard course afterwards.

I tried uninstalling doing the hazard course but this didnt work.

Okay ive located the problem, steam thinks my home drive is F: but its C: so it dumps its local content there, i need to tell steam to use my C drive somehow, any ideas?

okay fixed it, deleted client registry.blob
