Indeed guys, but let's get past the flames here, and focus on getting some textures done, if enough good textures get done (at least one set) I'll even consider reanimating some of it
Imagine sexy new model, new textures, and new animations all in one...
pertaining to the legs, I can NOT alter the legs, regardless of what you think of them, they are too long and misproportional I know, but this is because of the default bone structure, the hip bone places the pivot bones for either thigh way too high up on the model, and the only way to have the model animate properly is to fit the legs to the bone structure... so unless you guys would rather a model that looks good while not moving and like **** while moving than a model that looks semi-decent all the time, learn to live with the legs, you don't notice it in game...

Of course, posting ANY creative work on a public venue such as the internet invites criticism. if there was an End User Agreement for the internet, that would be in it. I suppose I'm saying that if you wish not to hear criticisms, ignore them. Either that or don't post creative works on an internet forum
In short: deal with it. The vast majority of criticisms are for the benefit of the author (showing how the certain work is not acceptable to the very people that you are releasing it to). As someone who's written for a long time, I very much love it when people tear my works apart and actually very much dislike it when I am treated to a deluge of 'OMG REALLY GUD's.
My advice would be to understand what your priorities really should be (i.e. improving rather than proving the point that you're already better than everyone else, so you don't need to bother) and take these criticisms for what they are: help for you, the creator.
"Internet is filled with fools, and the biggest in the faction of fools are those who dare to harass you for no cogent reason at all. Those are the lowest of lifeforms on earth, and doesnt have a voice in the real world, therefore they live out it here, where none can do anything against it."

Well, I think you should probably start your own thread to avoid getting any flames or spam here, but I will say this, what you want to do is seperate the SINGLE map into many 512x512 maps to achieve maximum efficient resolution
you can actually accomplish this pretty easily by just taking the already existing UVW maps apart, scaling them up (keeping them proportional, no rectangular squares) and regrouping them so that you can assign them to other bitmaps, then when you are done moving all the parts around, and you have let's say maybe 2 or 3 512x512 bitmaps, you can start retexturing them, but honestly what's the point in that when you have this pretty shiny new model to play with?
