Hl2 Hammer Out Today!
<div class="IPBDescription">A nice suprise!</div> <a href='http://www.steampowered.com/platform/update_history/Source%20SDK.html' target='_blank'>See here.</a>
Valve would have to be complete bastards to tease us with this then not go through with it (although I can put nothing past them), but this is definitely good news even if the real singleplayer mapping can't begin till the 16th.

That isn't to say I'm completely confident about this, considering Valve's track record, but we'll see soon enough.
Well, I do owe you big time. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Read down for cliffe's post.
Till now. Radiant for life!!!
But on a side note, I'll give this a try, I still don't see what's diferent from the HL1 version though and I will party the day the Radiant team adds HL2 support.
Does HL2 even support patch meshes ala Doom3 or even the 5 year old Quake3? Or is everything brush based and carfully placed verticies?
edit: Well it should be...

The initial version of the Source SDK has been released.
You need to own a Source game to have access to the SDK.
This release includes Source tools and work-in-progress
documentation. These tools allow creation of Counter-Strike Source
maps, models, and materials. Once the SDK is downloaded and
installed, all tools, example content and documentation will located
in your Steam folder Steam\SteamApps\<account>\sourcesdk. Tools like
Hammer and Half-Life Model Viewer can be started directly from the
Steam SDK menu.
The Source SDK will be continously updated, this first
release doesn't contain any source code to build customized server &
client binaries (Mods).

rig/biped for me?
(Just the rig and the effectors. I already have a model laid out.)
I figure I can scale it down and attach it to the
robot I modeled in XSI a while back because I can't figure
out how to make my own rigs/bipeds.
Upload/PM/attach it here if you manage it.
BOB WANT HAMMAR OMGZ!
Tis an interesting map, as shooting any one of the barrels results in large explosions and multiple barrels bouncing around, going fast enough to crush you if you are unlucky enough to get hit by one of them.
