<div class="IPBDescription">plz, i dunno modeling and i need this.</div> I'd like it if someone could make a sort of alien light so I can put it in the vents and make it look more realistic with the bioluminescence (see MSPaint Diagram)

    actually sounds kinda interesting... like the bioluminescent fungi in metroid prime? It MIGHT look cool in NS... although it might also interfere with the ability to move through vents quickly too... hmmm... I may model it...

    Not neccessarily, just don't add clip brushes to the models so people can move through them.

    O.O nice who did u say gave u that? marcelo? is he on the forums under that name or under some other name or not at all? because if he's on the forums, I NEED SOME GOOD CUSTOM MAP MODELS for my map!

    clipbrushes within models are called "hitboxes" <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> the hitbox cant be left out completely I guess. so you will have to hide it.

    You can make it non-solid tho... I think... (like the plant thinger in Biodome hive... isn't that a model? I mean... it moves and all 0o')

    Apparently, if you add a world model to a map you can make it so you have to make a brush to simulate the collisions with the model. If you didn't make a brush then you could pass right through it.

    a few things:

    1) what textures are we suposed to use?
    2) mint, you are wrong, there is this thing called a 'clip' brush that mappers need to place around their models to simulate collision.
    3) do you want it to move at all?

    I would advise using the texture off of the acid rocket, though it may not be the best one. It's the only one I've really had a good look at (besides a red and blue HA and normal rine) so if anyone has a better idea (highly likely), I'll delete this post.
