Two Issues

<div class="IPBDescription">problems with ns</div> 1: Often, when I try to access the menu, my mouse turns into the crustation cursor thing like it should, but I get no menu, and I can't click anything. This means no upgrades/evolving etc. I have to restart HL to fix it.

2: Sometimes when I minimize, I can't get back into the game. I can click NS ine taskbar. When this happens, I still see the desktop, but my gamma washes out like in NS, I can hear the NS sounds, and I can control my character, eg I'll hear me shooting/biting if I click. I've tried typing thigns and rejoining, and the guys in game said they saw it. Basically, it's like NS was runing in every way but I didn't have a visual at all, just my desktop.

I've gotten these bugs over and over again, and it's frustrating me. Is there any way to fix these?

I've had the same problem. The only fix is not to hit alt-tab.

How about when Windows locks up after using the quit/disconnect command?

The alt+tab problem is annoying, but at least it is easy to avoid.

I always tell people this... if you find yourself alt+tabbing a lot, or if it's being forced, simply run NS in a window.

I started running HL in a window back when I played CS. just got sick of windows popping up (forgetting to turn AIM off, etc). or other things.

it's really no different than full screen, except... you have a title bar, and none of these alt+tab problems, you can even alt+tab freely, which I do often while waiting to respawn.

it's a thousand times easier and more convenient, everyone needs to try it for themselves (just enable it in the options menu).
