    well a couple things...

    - you can get a new wireless card
    - you probably have a virus that's freaking with your computer
    - don't buy stuff from the $0.99 store.

Download lag? Oookay then. Slow downloads (I assume thats what you meant by lag, which has absolutely no relevance to downloads) are generally caused by having either a bottleneck in your network or internet connection. Since you have wireless (or any other form of network) its probably your internet connection. Slow wireless (802.11b) has a theoretical speed of 11mbps, and an actual of about 2. 802.11a/g is theoretically 54mbps (55 for a, but nobody has a anymore), and generally about 15. These are both faster than your average broadband connection. So your internet probably sucks. As for gaming lag, which I assume you mean by "internet lag", that's because wireless has an inherently higher latency than wired networks (especially if its encrypted). Not much you can do about that.

As for the off-on thing, how are you judging it turning off? If windows pops up a box saying you lost signal (I'll assume you run Windows), thats not the card turning off. Thats you losing signal. I'm really not sure how a card would go about turning itself off really... since they're "on" if they have power and are intact. As for the loss of signal, walls can block signal. So can floors and any other sold or semi-solid object. For best results you need LOS to the access point.

In summary, I have no idea what you're asking, but I assume it involves slow downloads, gaming lag and loss of signal.
