I had to PS that pic just to get it that small, the layout of the results page is really terrible and they don't allow direct linking.
Anyways, good to know you're an anarkist nut
Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -4.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.33
John kerry didn't even make it to the liberal side of the chart. Stupid two party system...
Well the questions could be phrased a little better, or I didn't take it right, because I'm sure I'm a little further to the right...meh my views on morals always throw these things off.
LOL
Yeah, I'm not sure I really like these types of tests, but I'm exaclty where you'd think I am.
And the truth is neither Bush nor Kerry are that authortiarian when in fact they would both be a ruler of one of the top 10 most free nations in the world.
Makes zero sense.
As time goes on , I grow more leftist and libertarian. Heck , I loved capitalism when I was a kid
This test seems moderately accurate. The 4 answers system isn't too great - a good/neutral/bad system would be better imho.
Economic Left/Right: -5.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 2.31
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.28
not so much of a disscusion here as a .. ill not say it.
Im happy that my placing is comparable to the Dalai Lama's, although wether or not he actually took this particular test remains, at a glance, unknown.
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.49
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.90
Bleh.
No one fits into a box.
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.79
But, I feel the same way as reasa.
So essentially, a Republitarian.

No need to be condescending.
You can compress music down to a 30th of its original size and it will still sound like the song. Similarly, you can compress political positions down to a two dimensional graph and get a decent sense of people's opinions relative to eachother.
This had better not be accurate....

I'm not complaining about the placement, but I think this test could have been done a bit better.

I didn't mean to be condescending to anyone here.
I just don't feel that it is a good idea to put your political views into a meat grinder of questions that shoots out a response of where you stand.
I believe that many of the people posting here have much more depth to their beliefs than the questions of this test allows. Any single one of these question scan be moderated by many different viewpoints and reasonings. It asks you to rate ideas by degrees of agreement yet that does not capture the actual thought processes that produce such a feeling or belief.
I dislike the tests not the people taking them.
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.18
Good to know im pretty much nowhere when it comes to my political views. Right smack dab near the center.
I don't think this test is very accurate anyway, if you were to ask me, then I would say that I am much more Authoritarian than Libertarian. I guess what you beleive you are is different than what you really are.
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.10
I didn't like some of the statements, though. One example: "It's a sad reflection on our society that something as basic as drinking water is now a bottled, branded consumer product." In London, cleaning water isn't free. Feel free to drink straight from the Thames, but you'll regret it (if you live to talk about it). Bottled water is there to fill a need, as far as I'm concerned.
Having said that, my result happens to reflect me fairly well.

Dude, the whole test is BOLLOCKS!
I mean look at this, Margret Tatcher is supposedly 3 notches down from Hilter?
What kind of a joke is this? This test is PURE CRAP... and the people who made it need to go back to Polt 401

It isn't an all encompassing trnd here, it just test your political leaning. I don't have the same outlook on life that Ghandi did, nor do I share the same ideas or motivations, I just fit into a similar area on the political spectrum.
It's good to ask yourself questions, what better way is there to learn about yourself? Of course this test isn't testing your ability to reason, so don't expect it to tell you who you are in the end, that is for you to figure out. The numbers are more for our conviniance than yours.

If you really think that the way you think can be summed up in two numbers, go right ahead. The test doesn't give you a profile on your political stance. You probably answered the questions totally differently then Kerry did, and Tacher probably would answer totally different then hitler would. I don't really recall there being any questions on how awesome it is to kill all jews anyways, so its not like we can make the man his own test simply because ours didn't seperate him enough from normality. The test doesn't test sanity, it tests political leaning.
hahahaha, I think it's true.
And calm down a little, 3 notches is a LOT on a 10 point scale.
Anyway, for me, I was -9.38 Economic, and -5.90 Social. Goooooo leftertarianism.
Edit: Took test again with more accurate answers. Scored -9.62 Economic, -6.15 Social.
I must say that a lot of questions were confusingly and/or ambiguously worded. For example, there was a question that stated "It's a waste of time to try to rehabilitate some criminals." Well, truthfully, I strongly agree, if we're looking at the question in the sense that there are a small group of criminals who are just beyond sanity. I know that's not really what the question was asking for, though, so I was a little confused.
PS, I liked the question about banning genetically diseased people from reproducing. I was thinking "well, everyone should have a chance," but then I thought about the Harlequin baby, and the deep South, and I said "Agree."
