Let's remember Nem0's edict.
I know I'm not even taking my own advice here, but the little bit I've been poking my nose around OT for the past few days hasn't looked good from my perspective. Maybe I'm just unlucky enough to fall into the wrong threads, but it seems like too many to be just that.
People post threads which are deemed by some (Many of the "some" seem to have sickle and hammer avvies... Hmm.) to be somehow not worthy of bandwidth, and they casually toss a scathing backlash towards the original poster. What are we forgetting here?
A while back, Nem0 instituted a rule that people who ain't mods don't need to moderate. If I remember correctly in fact, one of the key elements of his mandate was that whatever punishment you say your target deserves is the one you get for wrongly thinking that you work here. I distinctly remember him being incredibly annoyed by this, and alot of The Stick got handed out. The result was, for a time, a much more civil and friendly forum.
If somebody is doing nothing more than being chatty or even silly, it is not your place to tell them how useless they and their comments are. It really seems to me that you doing that is doubly pointless, in fact. I've seen threads that could've been interesting or funny turned into worthless spam by hordes of high-and-mighty self-proclaimed net.gods who spent multiple pages screaming at the user about how they shouldn't post worthless spam. That's not a cool place for us to be at. One of the things that's always made this mod special is the easy camaraderie among its community. That's not exactly nourished by people screaming their heads off about the huge number of innocent children apparently slaughtered everytime somebody dares to post something about a dream they had, their day, a humorous anecdote, or idle musings on body hair.
So I beg you guys, pretty please, with sugar on top, stop being so mindlessly snarky.
Think of the poor little Nem0's.

VOTE NEM0 FOR COMMANDO
Well, it's my, and most of the rest of the Mod team's opinion, that you keep those such opinions to yourselfs at all times.
We really don't need to hear how much you hate people becuase their state of existance apparently is the same as your handle.
Don't blame me if eediot is a thread nazi.
nemo is the one who killed all the dinosaurs because he touches himself at night
How on earth do crap threads waste your time? Do they waste more of your time when they are four pages of crap rather than one? Believe it or not, you don't have to read everything on these boards.
How does that validate your argument? Classifying people by their belief someone was wrongfully banned in conjunction that they make bad threads is pretty petty
I understand where you are comming from but lets be honest, it isn't your place.

Not only are you missing my point, but you are in fact thinking the opposite of it. We are definitely having a difficulty to communicate here. But no matter.
My point: some people, like eediot here, need to gain a better understanding of time management. When something is a waste of your time, you don't complain about it; that wastes more time. You go do something else. What you think really isn't important at all, because the thread might be thought-provoking or entertaining to other people, and it therefore is not a waste of their time. Demanding that people stop posting what you think is pointless is misguided and egotistical.
OH NOES THIS ONE IS TOO!!!1
