what do i cook
Erm thanksgiving is in about a week for me (only 4 days booo) and i'm not celebrating it with family members since they live so far away. So instead, I'm having thanksgiving dinner with a couple of my former high school friends and I seriously am empty handed. I have no recipes and no clue what to buy that's good for a party (mainly b/c i've never hosted one). Any suggestions you guys could give me is helpful -_-.

Ingredients:
1 chicken or turkey (I've only tried this on chicken and beef, but turkey ought to work)
Olive oil (I guess you could use other oils, but I'm a big fan of olive oil )
1/2 an onion
Garlic to taste (I use 4-6 cloves) + 2 cloves
Rosemary to taste (I use however much I can get between my fingers)
Oregano to taste
1/2 tsp ground cumin
Potatoes
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F
Rub a bit of olive oil in a baking pan
Chop the garlic up (Except for 2 cloves) and put it in a metal or plastic bowl with the herbs and some olive oil and mix it and hit it with the end of a rolling pin or whatever you have
Rub the bird with the mixture, covering it entirely and put the bird in the pan.
Chop up the onions and cut the other two cloves of garlic in half and stuff them inside of the bird (With bread crumbs and two more cloves of garlic if you want a stuffing)
Cut potatoes in to quarters and place them in the pan around the bird until you can't fit any more in
Put in the oven for about two hours. (If you want crisp skin, I think you're supposed to flip the bird every half an hour, but I've never done it successfully)
For Maximum Thankfulness, get lots of Chicken Supreme Chalupas, Steak Grilled Stuft Burritos (chicken if you're afraid of Mad Cows), and Bean Burrito Especiales!
No, I do not work there. But if you're coming to the one in New Milford, NY, wear a NS shirt and my... friend... will know you from the forums.
