Laggin? Me?

<div class="IPBDescription">Why the heck is NS lagging for me?</div> Just got NS, skimmed the manual, started to play the game and everything was fine. Then... I started lagging like crazy. My ping is fine, other games like Counter Strike works fine. I had the same problem with other NS servers. I'm running this system:

AMD Athlon 1000 mhz
NVidia GeForce 2 Pro 32 meg
Windows 98
800x600 Open GL
384mb RAM
Not running EAX
Through Half-Life
Steam
NS ver. 3.? Beta (the newest one)

I can't figure it out!
Why am I lagging with NS?
What's going on?

So when you say lagging, I assume you mean that it is running slowly, no? NS is one of the most intensive HL mods out there. So don't expect to run it perfect. Even people with pretty good systems have it slow down a little because of the fact of it pushing the HL engine so far. There are also some FPS optimization guides stickied in this forum at the top. Try some of those.
