HOW>?!
I have seen some people bunny hopping as a marine, i have asked them how they do it but they don't seem to want to share their secret. So i have come here to ask, How do you bunny hop as a marine?

If you jump to a location that is higher than your previous location then you can jump again without stopping, so you can pretty much bhop as long as you're going upwards. Catpacks makes you able to bhop on plain ground as long as you have nothing heavier than a lmg.

Check out NS:Jumped at www.monanproductions.com and se if you learn something

also note that you can get "an extra hop" when you come to the top of a slope or something by jumpducking to change the height (the engine think you're going to a higher level so you can bunny).

Bunny jumping on level ground without catpacks is also possible but you have to leave a gap between jumps, it's nowhere near as effective as skulk bunnyhopping but if you become proficient at it you can get around a 130% speed increase iirc.

u can do a double jump without any slopes by doing a single crouch/jump/uncrouch/jump on a level surface, takes good timing to pull off as there is a narrow line between the crouch being recognised as a lower surface and the crouch slowing your speed. you know when you've done it right as the 1st jump makes no sound.

Sounds like a unintended bug to me. Marines really shouldn't be bhopping all over the place. Aliens liek skulks, yes. It just looks stupid when marines or onii do it. ><

That's simply not true. Catpack-jumping removes all jump restrictions, as long as you're not carrying a bunch of guns and ammo.

where did i say it wasnt possible :<

and incase you meant it wasnt possible to bunnyjump on flatground without a catpack, then yeah i meant strafejumping, should probably be more clear.

you can also imitate bunnyhopping in a vent as a marine if the vent has a high enough ceiling. good fun that is

Not much of a b hop, but it still gets you around the map faster if you're going down a slope or you can jump onto somthing higher.

Basically you begin by spamming strafe keys while running forward. (A and D in rapid succession) so you run faster. Now you do a jump-duck while still rapidly tapping those strafe keys and do a half circle mouse motion. You release duck shortly before you hit the ground and continue running.

duck/jump/unduck/jump only works if you have no weapons i believe, otherwise your are too heavy. i mean its possibly but harder.

also if you have NO weapons you can bhop with catpacks. i dont see how it takes away from the game, ive never seen it actually done because if anybody has a catpacks there too busy trying to kill that hive/fade with their shotgun/hmgizzle.

by the way ns jumped is brilliant. mercior owns everything.

Many times I overtake bunnyhopping/strafejumping marines by wiggle walking (tapping left/right strafe alternatively) plus wall running (pressing against long flat walls for faster speed)....

When I am HA I always use the wiggle walk thing and you go past other HA's.
