Dedicated Server Error Cant Get Dll Api

<div class="IPBDescription">couldnt get DLL API from .\ns\dlls\hl.dl</div> trying to get a steam server running of NS dedicated. i have ran the hldsupdatetool everything up-to-date i installed ns into the hlserver directory
mine is C:\HLServerSteam\ns

its saying Host_Error: Couldn't get DLL API from .\ns\dlls\hl.dll

it seems to be something wrong with the server. I donno y its looking for hl.dll instead of ns.dll

my comand lins for my shortcut is C:\HLServerSteam\hlds.exe -console (and tried it the non-console way didnt work either) -game ns -gamedll dlls/ns.dll (just trying to see if that would work) +maxplayers 20 +map ns_blast.bsp

any help before tomorrow would be great

fixed it i made a new shortsut for ns (copied one i used for svencoop) but when i made a new shortcut the start in path was wrong. I guess that have a big part of teh shortcut

here is what i had before

and now i changed teh START IN field to the right one

next time ill try a few more things before i post

btw does anyone know of a few good site to get NS plugins and what a good admin mod to use amx or amxX

First of all, this sort of thing belongs in the general server forum. You'll get better feedback there.

For mods check out modns.org, that's THE ns mods site afaik.


Most people these days are adopting what you are calling amxx but should really be called amxmodx. Check out modns.org for more details on why this is better than amx.
