Ok, many months ago I saw a guide on some tech/PC mod forum where a guy turned a LCD monitor from a laptop into a seperate monitor that had things like winamp control, CPU temp and so on displayed on it. Point is, he did it a bit differently.
The monitor was hacked off the laptop, and NOT used just as a secondary monitor. He somehow hooked the monitor through his router (must of adapted the connection) and via a custom VB script he ran on his main PC, it displayed current winamp song, bandwidth monitor and such on the LCD. Low and behold, I got a laptop with a fried motherboard, and need to use the LCD for something...
Problem is, I can't find this forum post. Has anyone seen it before or can find it? My googling efforts are not yielding any results.
