<div class="IPBDescription">Installed-but doesnt come out on Steam</div> Hey guys, I was wondering if you could help me out... I installed and uninstalled ns about 3 times and each time (from different locations) I received the same results. The icon did not shot up in Steam under "Third Party Games" I dont know what I am doing wrong. I installed it in the same place as all of my other mods, please write back soon.

Thanks again.

Do you have the most recent version of Natural-Selection? (3.0b5)
Look in your C:/Program Files/Valve/Steam/Steamapps/<youraccountname>/Half-Life/ for a folder called ns.

Obviously, if you used a different install path for Steam, look in that one. If the folder is not there than your installer cannot find the correct path for Steam. Try logging out of your Steam account and then logging back in. Then try the installer again. You can also try locating where it actually installed it and copying the files into your Half-Life folder inside Steam.

If that doesn't seem to be the problem then you might try deleting Half-Life (in the My Games menu, right click on Half-Life, go to properties and click Delete Local Cache) and then adding it again. Make sure you go into your account folder and delete the Half-Life folder itself. Be warned, you may have to download it again.

If that doesn't fix the problem, post again.

When you uninstall it, to do so properly necessitates going into your registry and deleting certain files. If you don't know what you're doing there don't go.

After you've installed Steam and it's updated, join a half life game to ensure half life is updated. Then install NS into it's default loacation.
