Silence is nice sometimes... but generally I find getting celerity first and next ability second or vice versa is best. It lets you get around the map quickly with the skulk and kill marines faster and take less damage. Plus, these 2 abilities are good with any of the lifeforms so you won't be wasting a point. Silence is mostly useless on an onos...

Rushing to get to lerk seems to work well. It allows you to clear mines (by running into them) and to be early support for the rest of your team by sporing the marines, which really helps focus skulks. I also try to get onos as fast as possible. A redemption onos will probably get pulled out of the fight after killing one marine, so the marines don't get xp and I get back to the fight at full health faster. Adrenaline at the end is in case I go gorge to heal the hive.
Good point. Lerks allways are the second unit i get. With silence they are deadly, as no one can hear you flap or fire sopores, so you hide in a vent and they wil;l never know you are sporing them. Also this allows you to fly straight into single marines and feast on their innards very silently.
I nearly allways do this order of upgrades: Silence regen carapace save lerk unlock next ability Die, then fade adrenaline redemption.
however if its a game with more rines than aliens from the start i stick cloaking in instead of silence and stick silence on the end. I never go onos so it doesn't matter, as they are too fat and get stuck around corners and on ladders and are just too slow for anything useful.

Why's every one getting regen as skulk? it's totaly worthless, takes 2 ticks to even heal enough for only 1 bullet hit (lvl 0 lmg 10 damage). 3 ticks for a SG hit (lvl 1 18 damage 7hp per tick) i may have messed up the values.
Regen as skulk is perfectly worthless yes, But if you run at a marine who knows you're coming he will shoot you at least 5 times before he dies, in other words regen is useufull for hit and run attacks, where you actually have time to regen.
<u>Super Fade/Onos build</u> (I got 64-4 once with this build for onos): 1) leap 2) save 3) focus 4) save 5) save 6) fade 7) cel 8) cara 9) regen 10) adren or onos

Also really depends on how good you are with each life form. These builds aren't guaranteed to make you invincible. They are just suggested builds that I've seen a lot of good people that know how to control fades, lerks, and onos.
Upgrades are dependant on what job you do. and also if its NS or CO. For example in NS if you job is to go around munching RTs Regen, and/or adrenline is best for you. Regen because you may get shot at, but as RT muncher yu not supsosed to engage anyways.
If your a scouting skulks, celerity, regen SOF. are great upgrades. since you job is to parasight incoming marines to the fades can home in on them.
Just like redemption is the choice of a one hive onos. (usualy) while regen is a great choice for 2 hive and up onos.
this topic is about CO maps. Ns maps have a max per player of 3 upgrades, 1 movement, 1 sensory and a defence upgrade, which oi spretty small compared to co maps where ytou can have upto 10 (9, or 8 depending on focus or unlock next ability 2). maybe someone should start up a NS map thread. also start a rine thread please, so people don't fill this thread with marine stuff.

I am against this kinf of lists. Going the same way does not teach you anything plus you get bored. Idea of co_ is to expierement different kinds of upgrds.
I say about upgrades only that you should never go higher lifeform without any upgrades not even lerk you are just free exp.
Carpace is definitely the best upgrd you can have. Every second marine nowdays is like WTH H4x because you didnt die. Same goes for classic those upgrades are for use....
