Mic Ok On Servers, Garbage On Others

On some servers, my voice sounds clear as day using voicecom, on other servers you cant understand a word I say. On those servers that you can't understand me, other people talk fine. Its definately not a problem with my mic. Is there some setting I can adjust to fix this or any ideas?

It could be the server's voice quality. I think cl_cmdrate amd cl_updaterate effect voice quality sometimes too. Correct me if I'm wrong

No I think your right, there is also something else that could affect it besides that and a crappy ping/connection but I forgot what it was.
