I played NS WAY early beta when i first heard about it playing old CS. I have since stoped playing CS and got a new computer with HL2. I reinstalled NS but i for some reason cant either find it in the My Games on steam or the NS.exe file to run it directly.
any ideas?

\Steam\SteamApps\<name>@<provider>\half-life\
this will make a folder named ns where to ns installed
\Steam\SteamApps\<name>@<provider>\half-life\ns
(the folder is called nsp in someversions to..)
I have downloaded NS 3 beta, and i´dont know why it doesn´t work. I have done all things what you have sayed in this forum but it´s not working. (i dont know how i can play it) In downloads there is a text what says i have to run half-life throuh the steam and "load a training course". Can you help.
First you have to make sure steam is installed and working. Then play a quick game of hl1 so the directory is created.
When you go to install ns, the default path that automatically is displayed should be the right place: <i>C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\accountname\half-life</i>
NS should now appear in the my games list, might need to exit and start steam again. This is the only way you can play NS (or launching from the servers list when you click to connect to an NS game).
There´s only one problem. When i got to install ns setup says "there´s no steam installed". I have installed steam! I think thats why the default directory of installation is not .....steamapps\......
