Comments!
This is my supposed plan for the rest of the map.
Legend:
Yellow stars are weldables.
Red triangles are resource nozzles.
Green room is the supposed hive room.
Thick orange lines are the edge of the cliff, and the black spaces are 'outside', red is 'inside'.
Two paralell red lines mean jetpackers only (as written), and if an arrow is through them, then it means that marines can pass through that direction without a jetpack.
it's all a little messy, but I'm sure you can grasp the intent of my crayon-work

Anyway, nice map, but is the cliffy place an actual place were you can play?
Oh, and that func_weldable in the lower right... what's it purpose? it doesn't look like it's welding an entranceway...
Actually you should just ignore the jetpack symbols as I forgot to put in all of them. There are many more paths which can't be gotten through without the aid of a jetpack, but I missed them when putting the lines in
BTW, I was always wondering what that large bumpy area was down on the bottom of your commander maps... cliffs... Sweet.

This is some really great work. Good to know you're nearing completion.

This is now my new desktop wallpaper....
I am not that someone.
If you want to do this, I can tell you what shots go with what map section. Just email me.

Keep up the great work Merk.
The 'central room'.

Outside. This picture was taken during a lightnign flash so you could see it more easily.

The hive room...not much different, but it has a slightly different composition.

Finally, this is an upwards shot of the 2nd finished hive room. No hive pictured, as she was busy signing autographs somewhere. ; )

Finally, here's a picture of the layout *without* alien crawl tubes.

Matter of personal preference I guess.
I really don't want to get into this again... I recall a similar conversation about this earlier... I don't remember anyone saying "No Half-Life textures allowed. Period." I think the whole point is just to encourage people to heavily use the NS.wad for most of the geometry and structures in their maps... not to ban the hl.wad.
And besides... what is so bad about being reminded about Half-Life? I understand the fact that NS must have its own unique look and feel too it, but a lot of you act as though you hated the game or something... Launchning that rocket was one of the coolest things I had done in a game at the time.
There are some limitations obviously, where NS material isn't enough to completely fill a room, or you need sound effects which we don't have.
But I am going to be replacing that model with an NS specific one. It's just not a very high priority for the moment.
