Back on topic, b6 is awesome, largely thanks to the improved(debatable) hit boxes, but also because of the SC changes and free upgrades; commanding against a good team is hard; thought is required; rambos tend to get owned; it's highly frustrating, but in a very, very good way. On the flipside, alien play now has noticable variety, some may even refer to the style of play as very organic; each chamber is viable at any hive; skulks are dangerous, good skulks are fearsome.
ns_eon is a fine looking map and it is indeed playable; but to say it plays well would be an over exaggeration. The layout is somewhat convulted; barring the marines spawn, the entire map is cramped; details pokes out at inoppertune locations, leading to many a blocked (and potentially dead as a result) fade, lerk or otherwise.
ns_eclipse, ns_veil; all good from where I'm standing. I can't really comment on the other maps that have changed yet.
In short, b6 rocks my socks and clanplay will be <b>godamn interesting</b>.

Call me cynical, but it's quite possibly because they're too busy playing ns_eclipse, ns_veil and ns_tanith.
That, or the fact that a very low percentage of ns_ maps are actually completed so the main concern mappers have is that their map is visually impressive so that the screens they post on the forums get good comments from their peers.

Are there any marine buffs besides the hitboxes that I hear are much worse and meds being allowed to drop right on players?

If it was <i>properly</i> ran, it would have worked.
