<div class="IPBDescription">omgWTHh4x?</div> Basically, it goes like this: I used to have a d/l rate of 150kbps usually. Now its about 40-50kbps. List all the problems I may have(discluding limits by ISP). I have found that I do not have spyware, adware, or any other of the bad "ware"s out there, according to Spybot, Adaware, and Microsoft's AntiSpyware tool, so thoughtfully provided by MonsE.
Would could my problems be? Please, its just plain **** me off now. I appreciate any help you guys can get for me.

bad hardware connections? (as in damged wires?)
if your on cable: having to many tv's hooked up can affect it. Make sure you put the one for your interent on the first splitter off.
Also use 1000mhz or wire splitters.

Woo my house has the damanged wires in the walls to the extreme. Nothing bothers me more then seeing that WinXP bubble popup every 5 seconds telling me my "Local Area Network Cable has been unplugged!"

If you have answered yes to both of the above questions, then unplug the phone line from the Satellite reciever box and that should help.

omg! I must try this! All the others have been done!
Edit: Damnit. We have that, but the phone line isn't in there.
Did the drop in bandwidth occur suddenly or gradually?
Also, have you tested your network speed (over LAN only)? Would it be feasible to test your modem/router/computer at someone else's house?
Does your download rate change over a period of time, or is it relatively constant throughout the entire day/week cycle?
What have you tested your download rate with? Does using different programs/protocols affect anything?

This happened suddenly, but has been consistent like that.
