<div class="IPBDescription">omg teen angster</div> So I've just finished my first ever A(s) level exam week (granted only two exams but I'm allowed to moan). But now, we have to enter for the resits (as in, put our names in that we're definately going to resit the exam) BEFORE WE GET THE RESULTS. Why does this bother me? WE HAVE TO PAY FOR IT.

Now, once we get the results back, we have the option to withdraw from the resits and get the money back. But it's £11.20 for each resit, and I currently have a grand total sum of £20, and I need that £20 to get to and from college for the next two weeks. So i have a choice of entering myself for the resits, and not coming to college (or walking and having to leave the house at about 4am), or not putting myself in for the resits and crying when I find out I got a U on the exams or something. I just can't afford to spend that money all in one go (the resit entry papers have to be in by this Friday).

Anyway there are ways around it (ie scav some money off my parents or something) but that's not what i'm complaining about, it's just that it seems really stupid to have to enter for a resit months before you even get the results for the exam you're resitting.

Very weird system, indeed. Over here, you just log on to the system with your computer and check the results, then sign up for any exams/resits that you'd like done...

Oh yeah and it's all free (except if you attend one exam more than 4 times).

Don't sign up for them stick. If you need to resit you can do it whenever just tell your school and the examining board where to go.

I found it wierder that you have to apply to universities BEFORE you get your exam results....

Answer: Borrow from a friend/family member until you get the cash, and jsut hope you passed.
