    You should also mention that CAL matches take place on Sundays. I learned a fair bit by following closely and watching as many matches I could during season 4. HLTV's can usually be found in channels like #nspickup #findnsscrim etc...

    For the euros:

    #ns.gather on irc.quakenet.org for pickup games, and if you want to watch competetive games on HLTV, they are sometimes announced in #gamingorb.ns. Gamingorb matches are played tuesdays and wednesdays, around 20-21 GMT+1.

    Indeed, HLTV is a great way to learn (I learned how to improve my glidejump when watching SycknesS in some random match during Season 3). NSPickup already has a small (but functional!) website, I don't think it's planned to get any larger though...
