Modeled the 'Springfield xd', took me around 7 hours (not straight).
(that render is from milkshape, but with AAx6 and AFx16)
Edit:
Removed huge old render and put all the renders in this post.

*Edit* second look, its a bit skinny *Edit*
I already fixed that a few minutes ago by someone's reponse, thanks for the crit.
Fixed proportions and _tried_ to make a better render <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
EDIT: Sorry about the double post..
your trigger is wrong it is not a double trigger more like a tripple
2 triggers on each side and one more in the middle sticking out more if my memory is right it has something to do with a safety or something
LOVE THIS GUN, LOVE THIS MODEL.
keep it up <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

one's a safty. I don't like the idea, but alot of manufacturers use it now adays.
Uh it's very nice, and it... makes me look like a nub at modelling (so go away <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> ) keep up the good work mate ^_^
but meh who cares? it's the HL2 era now <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
ok.. the trigger is not made of 3 parts, just of 2.
the trigger part itself, and in a centered groove the trigger lock lever of the trigger safety. like the name is saying it, it locks the trigger in place if not pushed pushed down first. some are locking the gun clearly visible on the outside of the trigger, others do it inside the frame, this are mosty those with tripple safety..
the block on the back of the grip is the grip safety when holding the pistol in your hand ,you automaticly push it into the grip, to unlock the slide.
this is a nice double safety feature of the XD, some manufacturers even build tripple safetys into their pistols..
the XD is basicly build for quick drawing and firing without twiddle around with a safety switch.
oh..heres a glock 18 c with disabled safety
Can you see it now ?

ms3d's render screwd some of the lightning of the skin, but it still looks fine.

Uh, that's the KSC Glock 18C. It's airsoft... shoots 6mm plastic BBs using gases like tetraflouraethane (I think that was it).
The real glock safety is a tad more complex then that:

i know what airsoft guns are <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

yeah, the diagrams showing very nicely the tripple safety operation inside the pistol frame
at least, I dont think he's released it to ns..
