<div class="IPBDescription">Tweaked defaults</div> I've been toying around with the audio editor <a href='http://audacity.sourceforge.net/about.php' target='_blank'>Audacity</a> lately, and I've made some altered versions of the default HMG and LMG sounds that I like. They aren't much, but I figured I'd share. If I make anything else that I like the sound of, I'll post it here. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Extract to ns/sounds/weapons folder. Enjoy. <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo-->

maybe you can do some more obvious change?
On another note, I've applied some sound effects to the jetpack. Version 1 is just a deeper tone than the original. With number 2, I've tried to recreate the 'spindown' effect jet engines have.
<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin--> were they altered in pitch, or tone, or what...<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->All of the above and more. For the HMG and LMG, I sped up the sounds so you would hear each bullet much more clearly. Then I decreased the pitch of the sounds and boosted the bass so they sounded more powerful.

On a side note, does anyone know the names of the alien footstep noises? I'd like to try editing those next to see if I can improve on those any. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Just FYI I'm working on the onos's footsteps. I'm going for the "OMG I just crapped my pance in terror" feel, but so far no luck.
Foley artists are a strange bunch.
