Right, im playing NS and all of a sudden my monitor clicks off. Then about 10 second later a white box with "Sync Out Of Range" in it comes up and starts moving around. Nothing I do stops it, i have to turn the computer off with the switch. What do I do?

this is (If I am remembering correctly) your monitor telling you you have set your resoloution to a bad number (either to large, or wrong proportions) or you have set your refresh to high.

does tihs hapen in other games?
try renaming all your cfg files to name.cfg.bak

And if this is a creative writing experiment on how Tech Monkies react, then you will burn in hell <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

That happens also, if the refresh rate used it too high for the monitor to support in the resolution you are using:

e.g at 800x600 a monitor can refresh at 150hz (imaginary numbers atm)

however try to refresh at 150hz at 1024x768 and you will get that problem.

Take a look in your video properties from desktop, and make sure the resolution you play NS in has a reasonable refresh rate.

If you are overclocking anything, reset it back to default. Running a monitor at a higher refresh rate that it cant support is claimed to damage your monitor
