Red Alert is a great game for having sounds taken from movies or given, whatever way round its. Most common is the tesla coil noise And second most common is the chornosphere.
But I must keep my ears out for this Wilhem scream..
the spanish version of ER has some ns sounds for the med equipment and monitoring
one thing i just remebered is that in the shadowman videogame one sound that is played in some doors is the same as the one from the golden eye menu click
this sounds are sold as libraries in minidisc or other formats, the swat movie has some "pain" sounds that are used in cs, i think they are free samples, because some tv spots have usually these sounds
I happened to watch a documentation about a terror-party in an us-american city, but the station dicided that the teargas grenades *sounded to weak, so they took the HE Gren sound from CS.
mostly all the common sounds are downloadable for free on many websites..you can't exactly say where they're originally from! but it's true that most of the sounds in NS are very common and very often used in tv shows and other games. but that doesn't bothering me anyway...I'm just looking around and saying to myself "Where the hell did he drop that medpack/ammo? I CANT' FIND IT!"
The "grunting noise" that the marines make when you bite them is the same noise the hockey players in NHL Stanley Cup for the SNES made when they got hit (or make a hit). (It isn't as noticeable now as it was in previous versions though)
I noticed when playing Max Payne 2 that there are 2 sounds in close proximity that were used in NS:
During the cut-scene in the police station, when Max Payne sits down in his desk chair, it makes the same sound as when you get into the Comm Chair. A few seconds later in the same cutscene, Max Payne stands up from his chair, and it makes the same sound as when you exit the Comm Chair :-D.
I just thought it was funny that both these sounds are used for getting in/out of chairs :-P
(Maybe Max Payne would be a really competent commander)
