<div class="IPBDescription">Anyone know where the little guy is?</div> I've gotten back into The Specialists, but I still remember that there is a marine model out there somewhere for the game. Anyone know where I can get him, since I cant find any links after (about) a half hours searching?

    I haven't been in a game in a while, what's wrong with it? No new patches = everyone left? It's still a fun game....I mix it in with cs when I want a deathmatch round.

    I think the patch is slowly progressing, but the interest in the game seems to be waning among even the higher level gamers.

    A tournament was attempted (similar to clan gaming in Team Fortress Classic), and it died within five games.

    The leading - and only - The Specialists model site died, and none has returned to take its place. The website for The Specialists hasn't been updated in quite some time.

    Everything points to a lack of interest among the gamers, and the creative staff (even one of the creators of the game has gone missing, and the other is very quiet).

    While there are a few users in other modifications who prefer earlier versions, there are great divides of people who prefer earlier versions, including those in the beta test - meaning the new version doesn't hold their interest, and it's not even released!

    The game has a very short entertainment span. If one wants to get good at the game, it only takes a few weeks, and one can be near the top level. Once that happens, the game stales. It happened to me, which is why I don't like playing the game any longer. It got too easy, too quickly, and eventually became boring. Because of that, and the really pathetic Counter-Strike elitist, immature, foul-mouthed attitude being so prevalent in the community (and beginning to show itself in this community - so stop it), it makes the game frustrating.

    Thanks for the help and replys guys, shame the DL is borked. If anyone still has it on their hard drive and can find a host, give me a shout please.

    As for the game, I still find it fun. I play it every day in the same (if its not full) and enjoy myself when the group of good "skilled," none foul mouth guys get on and we frag against eachother. Its no longer about killing the enemy, its about killing <i>with style,</i> and and means lots of flips, lots of dives, and only one pistol. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Hang out at Dr_b_'s place. Plays 24x7 lobby (kind of stinks, but its practally the only "good" laid out TS map. IE wide open spaces with sparse cover, and hardly any cramping, save for the 2nd floor lobby) and only one **** frequents the server who spams the mic, but... I've figured out how to get mute to work again. As long as hes on when Dr_b is on he'll get a swift kick in the arse. Hopefully he did today, because an admin got on and gave him a 15 minute warning to cut the crap (which was probably the dumbest decision ever, but as long as hes gone). Ah well, I'm just rambling on now.

    I'd be "The Hardcore Ex-Navy Seal" if you ever see me on the server. Hope to see someone playing, hope to see the NS model sprout up from somewhere so I can play as my favorite marine again.. (go third person!)
