What Happened To The Older Ns?

<div class="IPBDescription">is only steam available?</div> Hey, sorry if any of this has been posted all ready but i haven't played NS in such a long time that i was wondering what happened to all the older versions of NS because so far i think only the steam is available. I think the reason i stopped was because i got an error that required me to get a new version so i couldn't play it anymore so i decided to just quit. When that happened, i noticed my CS didnt work on 1005 anymore so i was jst checking to see if only the steam was available.

id you wanna play any hl mods, including cs and ns, you have to download steam.

id just like to add that if you have been living under a rock(its a figure of speech, not meant to be offensive) that WON network dosent exist anymore and the new half life network is STEAM.

Oh....ok thanks, so in order to get the latest versions of NS you have to have HL steam or CS 1.6 steam right?

Yes, but steam is steam. There is no difference between what comes with HL or with CS. Steam is a standalone program not really connected with any of the games.

steam isn't half bad tho, sure sometiems the frineds server thingy crashes and you fall out of comm with your buds, but other then that it usually doesn't give me any trouble. so I don't really mind it much
