The Problem As I See It

<div class="IPBDescription">endgame could be more fun</div> Briefly:

While it's still good fun as marines desperately trying to fend off the final onos charges into your base, defending your last hive as skulks versus heavy armour with no turrets nor any resources coming in is tedious at best.

Of course, I can't think of any way to change that, apart from maybe giving the aliens the option to surrender instead of awaiting the inevitable.

    maybe if all alien/human structures are gone the remaining aliens/humans leave a trail or something on the floor, so you could kind of "hunt them down" literally?

    I have been thinking about this too... maby a unanimus vote could surrender / withdraw your troops..

    Though I would hate to see that lead to people just surrendering because they think they got of to a bad start. That would really suck.. Its not really fair to after a long and hard battle rob your opponent of the satisfaction of leveling you to the ground.... You would want the same <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    What happens if all players on one team goes back to the ready room? does that restart the game or does all remaining buildings need to be cleared out first? If not theres your sollution, but as i said, I'd hate to see this happen to often.

    Edit:

    Ahhhaaaa... But.... But...

    No way they would ever ever do this but i seriusly think it would be a nice feature:

    If Marines surrender they lose weapons and buildings and are added to the Hivesight. Open season!!

    If Aliens Surrender.... something simillarly humiliating..

    Just to keep it from being used without consiquence.. Just my honest oppinion.

    Just like my idea tht TK:ers in CS spawn like pigs in the middle of the map and the first one to kill them gets a bonus <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Marines have that radar thing where the blue circles give away the aliens position. Very useful to track down the last bugger.

    An option to surrender is not a good idea IMO unless it´s vote based where every player on the team has to vote for it. I have been in a game where every hive was destroyed and only 1 Gorg was left hiding in a hive building it up again. After a few minutes we could all spawn again and we actually took over control again and won.

    It ain´t over´till it´s over <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    That is what makes this game so much fun. It´s really unpredictable.
