<div class="IPBDescription">this PC</div> Aight, for my brother's 8 b-day I agreed to put HL and NS on his PC... however, he has an older graphics controler (4 mb memory) only 512 SD Ram, and a 1 ghz cpu (1. somthing small)
Now, I just put in custom, low poly models for player models and buildings, I disabled dynamic lighting, and I turned off high detail particle systems as well as using low quality sound. Is there ANYTHING else I can do to boost the performaance past say, the 30 fps mark, with at least a 20 fps minimum in battle (before I did all that, with a default install, low quality sound, no dynamic lights, and no high detail PS's, it ran about 20 fps average with 5 fps in a heated battle 0o')
Anyone know anything else I can try? I might rip my old Radeon 7000 from my OLD pc and give that to him (hell, it HAS to be better than an onboard right?)
