Yeh, iv been trying to get into the beta for this for ages. The only thing I think Neocron has over it is the more punkish feal to it.

I have high hopes, but I think in reality the reality of the matter will be what we end up with is going to be less then you might be expecting.

I can't say anything else or duplex will come and destroy me with his NDA.

I too am one of the many who signed up for the closed beta and didn't get in so when my "Open beta" e-mail arrived I downloaded the client ready and waiting. I shalt be there most likely under the name Hodge, and I will join whichever faction everyones going for.

Well I downloaded it, open up the ZIP and it's BAM corrupted. God I hate Gamer's Hell, it really is a gamer's hell.

Well I hate to say it, but having seen the video trailer, I predict suckage for this game. I'd really like to be proven wrong though.

Also... only nine weapons? Oh the variety! Let me guess:

-A knife
-Some other melee weapon
-A pistol
-An energy-based pistol
-A rifle
-An energy-based rifle
-A shotgun
-A grenade launcher
-Some kind of futury weapon that does something special

Of course if the weapons really ARE heavily customisable enough I won't mind.

So I signed up and downloaded the game the other day, so now what? I just sit and wait hoefully for an email saying I can be a beta tester?

If i get in Im going Freedom Defence Corps and then hopefuly I can work my way into the Global Intelligence Service. Special Agent Davis has a nice ring to it lol.


I was thinking about going into the Law Enforcment Dept. But then I read how there is corruption, and how they have to use limited weapons for public safety and stuff lol.

They tried that in the US a long time ago when all departments used .38s for "public safety".

Then all the bad guys out gunned the police and it was bad. >_<

I can see it now, Enforcer Davis <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> patroling the streets of Tokyo dutifily protecting the public, when suddenly a mob of machine gun wealding rocket launcher carrying, members of the Mercenaries of the Blood clan spring out of a targeted corperation building trying to make their escape.

Only one man stands in their way. Enforcer Davis of the LED... He draws his sidearm and shouts!
"Police! Drop the weapon now and get on the ground!"

1 second later Davis finds himself huddled behind a small trash can as the mercenaries answer him with a hail of automatic machine gun fire.
