is the cpu fan spinning when you turn it on?

I bet that the fan is broken. Or unplugged. Probably unplugged.

Open it up and take a look. Maybe the CPU fan connection on your motherboard has gone a bit wonky?

You haven't installed a new heatsink, have you? My Zalman flower makes my Asus A8V give me that error because the CPU fan connection goes into a wee box that controls the heatsink fan speed, before connecting to the motherboard.

Oh, no, you haven't. Open it.

Ok, I should have mentiond that the fan is still spining, it even looks like its spinning just as fast it usualy did. The heatsink has been on the CPU since i got it in September.

Everything is still within its 1 year warenty so Im gonna take it down to the shop (5mins away on foot) and let em sort it out since there relibablem, unless i can get it working :-p

Thats the thing, I havent touched it, I switched it off like usual last night, and powered it up in the morning as usual. How could the heatsink fall off all by istelf!.

    But ill check it anyway.
