How do you stop a flame war?

There's a flame war going on between my CS clan, Xyber, and another (defeated) clan, RoS, whom are accusing us of cheating.... any suggestions on how to stop this flame war? It's getting out of hand. We're hoping to have a re-match, winner can say what they want and the loser shuts up, but if we win again, I'm afraid that they will just accuse us of cheating again...

Having never been affiliated with a clan, I'm curious as to what "damage" this flame war is doing to your clan. Is it simply darkening your reputation or is it more serious like financial issues? Has it kept you from entering matches or tournaments?

If it's just talk, I'd say ignore them. Replying to their slurs will only feed their fire. Besides, how do you provide proof that you aren't cheating? It all seems a bit silly to me, but again, I've never been in a clan. Just my thoughts.

Either that, or frigg'n Flame them to a crisp. Hit them with flames so hot that they have to retreat or burn up.

Ive been in a clan, and this happened when we won match to take over first in OGL TFC ladder, thank god EVERYONE demo'd every match we had *HINT HINT* and it was easily dismissed. This is just about the only way to convince your opponenets

This match was our 1st outside a LAN tournament, and being so, we made plenty of n00b mistakes:
1) we used our own server instead of a 3rd party
2) One of RoS didn't have CD or PB installed (anti-cheating software) so we opted not to use either of them
3) the server was about 6 feet from the peeps in our clan. it was about 2,000 miles away from RoS: ping for us was less than 10, ping for them.... about 200
4) we only started to record A (single, one) demo about 5 minutes before RoS just quit playing.

The Flaming isn't hurting us, just, we don't like to be called cheaters- we've been on the recieving end of cheating, and we are formally against it.

I guess you have to learn somewhere, our clan started out the same way, but fortunately had no cheating accusations until afgter we were established. My best suggestion is just state your team was not cheating, and the matter is closed. If they want to debate it with ladder admin's, they can and just ignore it unless contacted by the ladder. (if it was on a ladder). If it was just a scrim match, have a re-match and demo the whole thing, then no matter who wins, it will be a fair game. (In theory this will work)

Simple.

You tell the leaders of each clan that its rediculous thing to be bitching over and have them tell the other members to stop. Then, you see which clan has the more mature members. Even if the other doesnt stop, eventually they will get tired of accusing you guys if you dont say anything back.

blah thsi is one of the reasons i've quit my clan, almost every war ends with accusations. I woudl just ignore it, besides people are getting paranioa 2, just play on a pub with admin mod on it, and start counting the kickvotes, i always play with soem friends so if they start kickvoting me, i know i'm not gonna get kicked cuz of my friends, which i know in irl so they know i don't cheat
Besides you'll find cs lots more fun when you play with friends and really work together.
