Lt Gravity: i have been getting reports taht some parts are too bright while others say they are fine could you post the relvant bits of your config. (gamma etc)
That said I noticed the other day that my primary display is broke ( steam menu is grey instead of green. while the second display shows steam green. I thought I was just using a grey skin) So I'll have to steal a few monitors and take a look at how it appears in them.
next, could you post/ send me to the brush errors and the blips in the ready room, pretty please
the glass seems to be a recurrent problem, it seems that aditive 50 glass isn't enough, might be the lighting brightness problem as well.
about the sound, as usual I shipped this off with the sound entites in, but, without them having a file correctly selected to play. I have been meaning to fix that for litterally 3 versions now and I still keep forgetting to do it...(ir zee nub)
that said thtnks for the positives. now if i can only iron out the negatives, and maybe redesign the ms, we shall see how im feeling. oh and the industry versus star trek thing is intentional:) thought it would add to the ominousness of the map if the hives were in the proverbial bad neighborhood. that and space stations are expensive so im sure it might be cheeper to just build new stuff on the old stuff and make it sweeter rather than invest in asteroids all over again:)
func_illusionry isnt server side isit? I would have thought those would be client side and not effect servers cpu and bandwidth cause their really is no player collision or interaction just VIS??
SgtBarlow: welcome to half life, everything is server side:)
That said ns has some serious work arounds in place that remove many of the entites that are normally tracekd every server frame. Among these are ready room starts and team starts. My mind tells me info_targets as well as info_nulls are also removed. But, it is 5:45 local so those might not be right:)
Kazbar: the minimap was a suggestion of the competitive community, specifically CAL. and thank you.

the ist of entities that arent server side is short.. and func_illus definetely are server side. why? because you can manipulate/trigger them.
the only thing I need now is a server to take a tour <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> *opens ase and realizes that every custom server runs ns_siege_xyz98765* NO!!!

Maybe the light colors should be changed though? NS usually has a dark feel?
Hive rooms are beautifully lit.
