<div class="IPBDescription">how fast can you kill the CC or hive</div> i'm asking the question on 1v1 what is the fast time for a skulk to eat the comm chair and the fastest time for the marine to kill the hive

    Skulks kill the chair faster than marines can kill the hive, at least as far as LMGs are involved I think.

    I would definitely go for the skulk due few things: bite does not have ammo, skulk moves faster, 1 upgrades allows continous biting(adrn), 3leves bile (bwrrr)
    Rine needs to empty his clips on hive then get sg. I think the question is can marine get resupply with those starting ammo and ammo from sg.

    Every time there has been a pair of rushes that failed to meet each other, the marines are still reloading their third LMG clip when the chair goes down.

    Unless the marine ammos up or wastes his first level on resupply, he will run out of ammo just shy of getting a SG (in my experience)

    Small combat games favour the aliens tremendously though.. Small games regardless of race to kill the hive/CC should always start with the first upgrade the alien gets as SOF. The marine at that point is then easy prey.. if he's in his base, you can co-ordinate your attack to take advantage of his posiiton... If he's on his way to your hive, you can ambush from behind quite easily... or run around him and attack the Chair for a few seconds to draw him back.. I have yet to see a marine win a combat 1 v 1..

    Again my experience.

    aliens usually beat the rines in killing the CC before the rines kill the hive

    Actually this is a common occurance for me. Marines always win (at least smart ones do).
    1) knife the hive until you get damage 1 and shotgun
    2) shotgun the hive until you get resupply
    3) continue to shotgun the hive until it dies

    Marines win every time.
    Why? Shotgun >>>>>>>>>>>>>> bite

    1) The cc would so be dead before you did enough damage to the hive with your knife to get two levels
    2) There's no reason why you should start out using your knife. Empty all your ammo into the hive first, then start knifing.
    3) Two levels may get a marine a shotty, but the alien'll get his upgrades first, and he can get bb with two upgrades, which will seal the fate of the cc.
    4) Assuming both players rushed to the enemy's base at teh start of the game (and didn't meet each other) the alien will arrive at the cc before the marine gets to the hive.

    Ya lets just remoce the Hive and CC, make it so when you die, you dont respanw(Removes Spawn Killing) and work the CO around Rounds...





    Oh wait, they've already got that game... CS

    Marine manages to kill alien.
    Marine gets half way to hive.
    Alien goes around marine.
    Marine and Alien start killing at same time.
    Alien kills faster

    OR

    Alien kills marine.
    Marine spawns and kills alien.
    Alien gets to MS before Marine can get 10ft. out of base.
    Kills marine....

    ......Either way marines lose.

    NS was never meant to be played 1v1, not even in the original concept of combat. Balance changes should never be considered based on the results of a 1v1 game.

    Even when alien starts attacking cc after hearing hive is under attack, alien will still beat rine. Least how has always happened to me, co_sava, wait near water bottle, hear hive under attack, go kill cc, alien wins.
