Well There is a concept thread <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=87522' target='_blank'>Here</a>

I have spent 2 days on this model so i hope you lot like it :/

Of course better renders will be added but im tired and will do them later.

I have left out the Flip-Up sights as i do not really like them and cant seem to model them well enough.

    grip seems a bit fat... might want to slim it down. Aside from that it does look rather neat, i get a very g36 vibe from it... and at the same time i get an AK feel...

    Looks pretty cool to me... but i don't know... well anything about modeling so don't take my word for it...     good start, but you should make with more bumps here and there, and chamfers on the sharp edges, to make it more ergonomic and less 2d

    I agree with the fat grip and ergonomics statements, but it's looking nice.

    it's nice. but:

    * i dont like the position of the taclight

    * the grip, the back of it, where there's a cylinder? it shouldn't be a cylinder, it should be an extrution of the grip, rounded off (imo, but if you dont want to, keep it as is)

    * the grip itself should be more ergonomic (reiterating, i know)

    * what i assume to be the ejection port needs to be bigger, if it's not, then nevermind.

    * the reciever for the magazine appears a bit too thin, maybe even add a lip for it (i know it's not on the concept but it'd work i think)

    * the trigger gaurd looks like it should be a bit more rounded on the inside, not boxy.

    * you might want to slim down the ironsights/handle

    * and for some reason the magazine just appears weird.. meh

    well, I'd work on it more, but it's a good concept and great start, keep it up

    But anyway, where would you more like the tac light? I dont understand what you mean about this cylinder. I know about the ejection port, i have trouble modelling them and so i made a placeholder so that i can model it later :/

    heh looks really cool, i dont mind the grip that much since if it DOES get compiled you wont see it on the v_ model <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    you can always forget about the rear sights and just put in a reflex sight like this picture <a href='http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v157/rokentsu/assaultriflev2modified.jpg' target='_blank'>http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v157/rok...ev2modified.jpg</a>.
    it can also be moved to the rear a bit.

    i actually like how the light is placed

    Im sorry i couldnt model them properly but i havent really modelled lately.... or in ages so yeah

    If you like it then im happy

    - Ejection port on other side
    - Handle at top shrunk
    - Better bit at back of Grip
    - Tried to improve the grip but not sure how
    - Moved Torch back a bit

    try to minimise sharp edges, eg those that are 90 degrees

    for example, the handle could use some chamfers at the edges

    i dunno how 3dsm work, maybe ask someone who knows about it :o

    The red circle on the top of the picture- Cut a hole in that, so it's like a site. You would look through it and level it with the front cut. Understand?

    The lower red circle- Make it skinnier. It looks fatter than me on thanksgiving.

    This is going to be very akward when I have this on City 13.....but good work so far. I'm pretty sure I'm chaing that grip though, because it doesn't work well, the way you would hold it would bruise your trigger hand. Reminds me of one of the rifles in Killzone. Keep it up!

    btw, the mag seems a bit too boxy and the back stock is actually a cheek rest so it should stick out a bit, otherwise its great
