this is a MvM map based on ctf-suddendrop for unreal tournament. its extremely basic, so dont say OMG BOXY!
i had the author contact me on porting it to duke3d saying it looked great, also he said he didnt mind if i ported it to another game.
since the ut version was made entirely out of this horrid grey brick texture, i expanded on that and used egyptian theme textures. the map is about 75% done, still have some work to do on the elevators and the top of the map.

the pool that prevents you from being incorperated into the floor if you fall, and the elevator to the middle room in the first picture

i had a 3 hour playtest with about 24 people spanned out over that time (10 max player slots)
they all loved it, all except for the hall that goes from the back of one base to another. had to block it off a few times with entmod.

Peple don't like crap, espically mappers who spend weeks or months working on a map that doesn't get played while some **** comes in and makes a box in 15 minutes that gets played on crappy servers populated by 11 year olds.
Dude, you have some serious problems with the map if your getting that, try hint brushes or something. I'm not complaining or flaming about the map, but thats way to high for some boxes.

Wasn't my intention. Just the detail in this map doesn't surpass doom and thats what's bothering me about it, since it isn't 1993.

I know how you feel...
and I was a naive to think that this kind of ... thing (never ever use the term "map" for such again!) will just die after the co-mode showed up and "flashbanged" us with loads of detailed maps.
